U.S. Patent No. 10,745,300 Bioionix Intellectual Patent

McFarland, WI, U.S.A.: Bioionix, Inc, (www.bioionix.com) a technology platform company that develops, manufactures and distributes proprietary electrolytic systems to eliminate biological and chemical contaminants from water, announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. Pat. No. 10,745,300 on August 18, 2020 for electrochemical water treatment.

Bioionix, Inc. is a pioneer in the innovation of electrochemical water disinfection. The process works without the addition of chemical compounds to the water and promotes high fluid velocity to promote recycling of liquids and therefore a sustainable solution. The Bioionix HDI innovative electrolytic disinfection process is utilized on seawater for elimination of the harmful microalgae Alexandrum cantenella, better known as “Red Tide.” The system can treat enormous liquid flow rates removing contaminants that damage the environment and sea life.

The Bioionix process creates oxidizing disinfectants from the water itself, using a low voltage electrical field and high-performance catalytic plates to completely penetrate liquid streams, even at high turbidity or organic load. The SuperOxidants™ produced provide immediate and lasting decontamination, eliminating suspended pathogens and biofilms in seconds.

Bioionix is currently exploring opportunities to market this technology into multiple industries with brine or seawater impacted by biological contamination, such as desalinization plants and ship ballast water.

Interest in this innovative and sustainable solution is gaining world-wide attention. In 2018 the Bioionix technology was approved for Red Tide destruction by the Chilean government to support its salmon fishing industry. “We are very pleased with this news, congratulations to the entire Bioionix team on this great achievement!” states Pete Marsnik, Bioionix CEO. “This asset further strengthens the Bioionix disinfection technology platform and our intellectual portfolio.”
