Bioionix is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineering Tech for our growing water treatment company in McFarland, WI.  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and is a front-line customer-focused representative who works with various levels to deliver outstanding services. The Field Service Engineering Tech is responsible for interfacing with engineering staff to define projects, managing off site contractors for pre-installation work, installing equipment in the field, wiring electrical panels, basic PLC programming, and customer training.

Job Duties

  • Strong customer focus, will be a face of the company. Able to communicate to multiple audiences at various levels
  • Electro-mechanical system assembly, installation, and maintenance
  • Direct and schedule field installations via contractor and customer interaction
  • Maintain project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
  • Confirm product performance by conducting tests
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions
  • Read electrical schematics to build and troubleshoot electrical panels
  • Perform basic PLC and HMI programming and setup
  • Conduct on-site training sessions
  • Program and troubleshoot automation equipment including VFDs, pumps, controllers, flow meters, and other equipment
  • Testing and reporting – Test new designs, perform bacteriological disinfection tests,
  • Sales Support through presentations and training
  • Specialized knowledge in the following is a plus – corrosion, electrochemistry, chemistry, disinfection, water, sanitary design, corrosion resistant metals, bacteriology
  • Travel – 25%

 Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical or other systems and their components.
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools, and electrical test equipment
  • Communicate effectively using electronic media as well as written and verbal forms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize and attention to details.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically, possibility of international travel
